Dear Parents and Guardians,

Throughout the pandemic, Odyssey has provided our community with resources, support, and ensured the uninterrupted success of our students. Due to the most recent rise in COVID-19 cases and concerns related to the new Omicron variant, out of an abundance of caution, Odyssey Charter Schools will close our campus beginning on Monday, January 10th through Friday, January 21st, and tentatively reopen the Odyssey campus on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Odyssey is grateful that as a blended learning community, our students have always had full access to the entire curriculum. We will continue offering our full curriculum and instruction to all students in the Odyssey community, Kindergarten through 12th grade.  All of Odyssey’s teachers will be available to provide help to students as they work through their courses. We are simply replacing our face-to-face instruction and support with synchronous teacher contact using other forms of communication. Odyssey’s Teachers, Administrators, Counselors, Social Workers, Health Professionals, and Support Staff will be available via Gmail and Moodle Messaging between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Staff will do their best to respond to questions within 24 hours. All students should continue working in their Moodle courses and attending their regularly scheduled weekly meetings. Meetings that are normally face-to-face will be held via Google Meet for the next two weeks. Odyssey will continue implementing distance education in accordance with guidance provided by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE).

The safety and health of our students, staff, and families remain our top priority. We will keep you updated via email, Moodle announcements, and/or Odyssey’s website. Odyssey remains committed to providing a powerful education and ongoing support during these challenging times.

Thank you for being a part of our community.

Sincerely,

The Odyssey Administrative Team
