Please read the critical information below and share it with your parents. More information will follow as we approach graduation. If you have any questions, please contact us at 702-257-0578.
All seniors and early-grad juniors are required to attend the annual Senior Meeting on Tuesday, October 11th at The Orleans Arena. This event will provide students and families with vital information needed to prepare for Graduation.
Your cap and gown unit will be ordered by the school. Please complete the Cap, Gown, and Shirt quiz in the Graduation 2023 course in Moodle to submit your height, weight, and t-shirt size.
All orders for announcements, class rings, and grad swag (t-shirts, hoodies, extra tassels, and more) must be ordered from Jostens by December 16th, 2022. Go to Jostens.com to place these orders. Items like clothing and keychains will ship directly to your home. Announcements and extra tassels will ship to the school, and you will be notified by email when the items arrive.
If you want to order swag after December 16th, 2022, you can still visit Jostens.com to have any of their non-school-specific items shipped directly to you.
All on-campus and online-only seniors and early-grad juniors may have professional cap and gown photos taken by Bell Photography free of charge. These are the ONLY photos that will be used in the Yearbook and the Senior Slideshow at the end of the year.
Date – Monday, December 5th – Friday, December 9th, 2022
Dress Code – Professional dress (shirt and tie, button-up shirt, dress, blouse) is required. The school dress code still applies during Senior Photos. Caps and gowns will be provided.
To schedule your photo appointment, please visit the Graduation 2023 course in Moodle and select the day and time you would like to have your photo taken in the Schedule Senior Photos link. On-campus students may schedule their photo appointment for the time they will be on campus that week. Online-only students may schedule their photo appointment for any available time slot that week.
Parents/guardians, these photos can be purchased through Bell Photography. Proof packets of the photos will be delivered to the school for students to pick up. Purchasing information can be found at https://bit.ly/2022bellseniorphoto.
Each year, the highlight of our graduation ceremony is our student speakers. Any student may submit a speech. If you are interested in giving a speech on stage this year, please submit your speech to Principal Stafford (email@example.com).
– Submission Deadline: Friday, January 13th, 2022
– Submit in both writing and a video recording.
– Speeches may not be longer than 2.5 minutes – please make sure you are reading your speech at a slow, steady pace the same way you would at Graduation.
If your speech is selected, you will then be mentored through the process of refining your speech and preparing to speak in front of a live audience on the day of graduation.

Before you can walk, you have to work… on your assignments, that is! Before you can walk, you must be passing all required classes. Once confirmed by your counselor, you will be marked “Cleared”. Graduating seniors and early-grad juniors must complete and submit all assignments and be marked “Cleared” by their counselor prior to picking up their graduation materials. If you have any questions about what is expected of you in a particular class, please talk to your teacher. Specific due dates will be released in the spring.
Cleared seniors and early-grad juniors can begin picking up graduation materials sometime the week before graduation. The specific date and times will be released closer to that week. All students must be cleared by their counselor to pick up any graduation materials.
All graduation materials must be picked up by Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at 2:30 PM if a student wishes to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.
Graduation materials include the cap, gown, tassel, senior t-shirt, and tickets. Any Josten’s orders can also be picked up at this time.
All graduates should plan to wear dress clothes for the ceremony. No jeans, tennis shoes, or flip flops will be allowed. Please remove gown from the bag prior to graduation day. Graduation gowns look best if steamed or ironed (at very low heat). Hair should be worn in a style that allows the cap to fit on the top of the student’s head. All gowns must be fully zipped.
