Hello, Odyssey High School Families.
We hope this letter finds you well.
This an update about Odyssey’s plans for the remainder of this school year and our proposed plans for next year. Please understand that the situation is constantly changing and that Odyssey may need to alter its plans accordingly.
For the remainder of this school year, Odyssey Charter Schools will be using its facilities to conduct the testing that is required by the State of Nevada and the US Dept. of Education.
Other than the face-to-face testing, Odyssey High School has not changed its plan for delivering instruction virtually for the remainder of this school year.
We recently administered the ACT test to over 300 juniors and it went very well.
Odyssey plans to return to our normal instructional model next school year, with minor modifications, to ensure student and staff safety. We also are planning to allow an option to provide families with a 100% online schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. Most importantly, we will continue to closely monitor the recommendations from the State Department of Education, the SNHD, and the CCSD.
The enrollment window for next year will open in April, and we look forward to scheduling and planning for a great 2021-22 school year!
We miss our students, our staff, our families, and our community very much and we look forward to seeing them face-to-face as soon as we are able to do so in a manner that is safe and comfortable. Thank you for your diligence and hard work with your students at home. We are a tremendous learning community and we appreciate you very much!
Sincerely,
Derek Stafford
