The Nevada Promise Scholarship is a last-dollar scholarship created by the Nevada Legislature. It helps Nevada high school graduates attend community college almost tuition-free by covering up to three years of tuition and other registration fees not covered by other gift aid. If you’re graduating in the Class of 2027, apply between August 1, 2026, and October 31, 2026 (deadline), and complete all requirements to remain eligible. Please let me know if you need assistance completing the steps for the CSN Nevada Promise Scholarship: https://www.csn.edu/promise. Please complete step 1 if you haven’t already! Its deadline is fast approaching. Once on the website page, scroll down to Step 1 (Apply for the Nevada Promise Scholarship) and click on College of Southern Nevada (CSN) for the application to open. Please read about it; it is a great post-high school option or backup plan. I have included a checklist, since ultimately the agreement is between you and the Promise Scholarship. Odyssey will assist, but cannot be responsible for any missed deadlines or loss of the scholarship. When you complete step 1, please leave the Social Security number blank; your graduation date is May 21, 2027, unless you are a mid-year grad (December 18, 2026); and it is recommended to select “prefer not to answer” for the sexual orientation question. After you complete Step 1 of the Promise, you should receive a confirmation page showing that your application was uploaded, and in a few days, a confirmation email from the Promise.
