Annual Utah College Trip is BACK

Odyssey Charter School will host a Utah College Trip to Utah Tech University and Southern Utah University (SUU) on February 20th and 21st. On Friday, February 20, 2026, at 7:15 AM, students will arrive for check-in at Odyssey Charter School’s high school entrance. At 8:05 AM, the bus will depart promptly. At 11:00 AM (UTAH time), the group will arrive at Utah Tech University for a college tour and presentation. Following the presentation, students will have lunch at In-N-Out. At 3:00 PM, students will arrive in Cedar City and check into the SUU Red Riot Overnight (Sample Schedule Attached). The following day, Saturday, February 21st, students will depart from SUU at 10:30 AM (Nevada time) for Las Vegas, Nevada. The bus should return to Odyssey Charter School at approximately 1:30 PM on February 21st. Please do not bring any liquids or food from home for the trip. Odyssey Charter School will cover all meals, overnight accommodations, and travel expenses. Students should plan to bring spending money (if needed), a pillow, a change of clothes, and a toothbrush.

To submit an application for review, students must have all passing grades on their Moodle account and a 2.3 GPA for the fall semester with no failing grades. Once you complete the three forms below electronically, please email Mr. Smyth at [email protected]. We have room for approximately 35 students. Odyssey will fill spots once applications are complete and the email has been submitted to Mr. Smyth. Mr. Fitzgerald, the high school assistant principal, and three faculty members will accompany the students. Once a student is selected, the student and parent/guardian will be notified by email and must email back to confirm participation. The three forms below must be submitted and completed to be considered for the trip. Please do not submit any payment for the Red Riot. Odyssey will cover the $20.00 fee.
