Jailene Ramos (UNR’s Admissions and Recruitment Counselor) will present UNR’s Freshman Admissions Criteria and Scholarship Process. This year, UNR is offering significant merit scholarships ($$$)! Please review the scholarship matrix below. The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in room E-G.  During the one-hour session, the first half will feature the admissions presentation and Q&A, and the second half will be an application workshop where Jailene will help students submit UNR’s online admissions application (no application fee). We look forward to seeing you on the 22nd. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Please have them sign in at the high school entrance and obtain a pass.

Admissions

  • The Application is open! https://www.unr.edu/apply
  • No application fee
  • You can also apply to UNR through the Common App this year.
  • FEB 15th is the priority admissions application deadline for scholarship consideration
  • If you let your Odyssey counselor know that your application is complete, they can send your transcript and unofficial ACT scores (placement only) for free.

Scholarship & Financial Aid

  • The Scholarship Matrix is back! Find the new matrix below. The last ACT score they will accept will be from the December 2026 test.
  • December is the last testing date UNR accepts ACT/SAT testing for the Scholarship Matrix.
  • UNR must receive a student’s official score report by February 15 to consider them for the 4-year scholarship matrix based on test scores and GPA.
  • There are 3 ways to submit test scores:
    • The most official and straightforward way is for students to input our school code (ACT: 2494, SAT: 4844) and send the report directly through the testing agency.
    • Counselors can upload the student’s official score report. Please let your counselor know. They will need the official score report.
    • If you log in to your ACT/SAT account at the UNR’s Southern office or during Jailine’s school visit, UNR can accept your test scores as official.
    • We superscore for both the ACT and SAT for scholarship consideration.
  • FAFSA opened on October 1, 2026.
  • February 15 is the deadline for FAFSA or the Institutional Methodology  Form (non-SS# students)

 How the Waiver Works:

  1. Have students sign up for their desired trip date and ignore the payment email

  3. Once step 2 is done, we will verify step 1 is done as well before we purchase their ticket and send confirmation
