If you received below an 18 on your ACT in English and would like to take English 101, you will have to complete the English Survey at https://csn.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a5BCAVBTirpB1NI in order not to have to take a remedial English course.
Please look at the Math Chart. If you need to take the Math Placement test because your Math ACT score is below the required test score, and you do not want to take a remedial class, please contact CSN placement at https://www.csn.edu/math-placement.
Take a Placement Test or submit ACT or SAT Test Scores
Students with less than six previously completed CSN credits must take placement tests for Math and English or submit valid (less than two years old) ACT or SAT scores for course placement.
- Placement testing/test score submission must be completed prior to meeting with an Academic Advisor.
- Fall 2025 Academic Advising appointments open mid-April.
