High school seniors are encouraged to apply for one of 10, $3500.00 diversity scholarships available through Cox Communications, Las Vegas. Applications are available through The Public Education Foundation at www.ccpef.org. The deadline to apply is Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015.
The competitive scholarships require applicants to graduate with a minimum 2.5 grade point average, provide demonstrated leadership and community service, and submit an essay focused on a significant leader from their respective diverse communities.
Scholarships include: Cox and 100 Black Men Scholarship; Cox and Fiestas Las Vegas Latino Parade and Festival Scholarship; Cox and Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Scholarship; Cox and the Human Rights Campaign Scholarship; Cox and Ilocano American Association of NV Scholarship; Cox and Junior League of Las Vegas Scholarship; Las Vegas Urban League Scholarship; Cox and Organization of Chinese Americans Scholarship; Cox and The Puerto Rican Association of Las Vegas Scholarship and Cox and The Center Scholarship.
