The Nevada Council for the Prevention of Domestic Violence is pleased to offer the “Survivor Scholarship” for survivors of domestic violence. This scholarship seeks to provide applicants financial assistance in their academic endeavors.
Applicants for the Survivor Scholarship must meet these eligibility requirements: Applicants must:
• Be a resident of the state of Nevada
• Enroll in a college/university or trade school
• Submit one letter of recommendation in support of his/her need and adversity from a professional person or someone who is knowledgeable about the individual’s experience with domestic violence.
• Address the following in his/her personal statement: How will this scholarship fund help you reach your educational goal?
All applications will be discussed at a public meeting.
