Greetings! As a new school year begins, rising juniors and seniors and their families are starting to think seriously about college applications and the costs ahead.

We know affordability is often one of the biggest questions in those conversations. That’s where the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) can make a difference. WUE is the nation’s largest regional tuition savings program in terms of student enrollment and estimated savings.

Eligible students from participating Western states and Pacific territories pay no more than 150% of in-state tuition at 170 public colleges and universities across the region — opening doors to out-of-state options while keeping costs manageable.

You play a vital role in helping students explore their options and plan for the future. To help you guide students and families this fall, we’ve gathered these ready-to-use resources:

✔️short video explaining WUE eligibility and how to apply for the WUE rate

✔️The WUE Tuition Savings Finder, an online dashboard with school profiles, eligible majors, and estimated tuition savings across the West
✔️downloadable PDF list of participating WUE schools
✔️slide deck highlighting WUE’s benefits for your presentations
✔️Our Frequently Asked Questions page

All of these tools are available for free at wiche.edu/wue and are updated as needed during the school year.

Our team is also here to support your work, so please reach out anytime at [email protected].
