Silver State Schools Credit Union Scholarship

Now accepting 2024 Scholarship applications.

Recipients of the People Over Profit (POP) Foundation Scholarship Program receive a scholarship award that is renewable at $2,000 for four years, up to $8,000 total.* Each year, ten (10) exceptional Silver State Schools Credit Union Student Members are recognized for their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Any student can become a SSSCU Member by starting a small savings account with a balance of just $25 dollars.

Since 1989, Silver State Schools Credit Union and the People Over Profit Foundation have awarded over $1,100,000 in scholarships to outstanding Southern Nevada High School Seniors.

The 2024 Scholarship application deadline is 11:59 pm PST on Friday, March 1, 2024.

*Scholarships are paid out in $2,000 annual increments for a max scholarship award up to $8,000. The scholarships are renewable upon receipt of transcripts showing a maintained college grade point average of 3.0. Recipients are responsible for submitting documents to process scholarship renewal and have six years from receipt of the award to claim scholarship renewal. The POP Foundation Scholarship Program is designed for Silver State Schools Credit Union members, graduating from an accredited high school within the State of Nevada. Membership at SSSCU requires a savings account with a minimum balance of $25.00.
