About PSAT/NMSQT Testing
Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) testing is not required. This is an optional test available to 10th and 11th grade students. This test evaluates evidence-based reading, writing, and mathematics and is similar to the SAT.
Please note, the SAT is also not required for graduation and is not offered by Odyssey. The American College Test (ACT) is required for graduation and is taken in 11th grade. You can find out more about the SAT here: Link to SAT Information
PSAT/NMSQT Testing at Odyssey
Who: 10th & 11th grade students who are interested in scholarship opportunities with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
When: PSAT/NMSQT testing has been completed for the 2024-2025 school year.
Where: PSAT/NMSQT testing has been completed for the 2024-2025 school year.
Cost: The test is free for all 10th and 11th grade Odyssey students!
How to Sign Up: If you are a 10th or 11th grade student at Odyssey, you can register for the test by emailing Mr. Smyth at rsmyth@odysseyk12.org with your Odyssey email.
Mr. Smyth will send you a confirmation email with your assigned test day and test day procedures. Please email Mr. Smyth if you have any questions or concerns about PSAT testing.
*11th grade students must take the PSAT in 11th grade to qualify for the National Merit Competition.
