My name is Geena Marano, and I am a Graduate Assistant at the Academic Success Center at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I am contacting you to provide information regarding the Hixson-Lied Success Scholars Program through the Academic Success Center at UNLV. Each year, select students are chosen to be Hixson-Lied scholars and receive a $2,500 yearly scholarship, service hour experience, and professional and educational leadership development through the scholarship program. Students are selected based on UNLV admission requirements (must be admitted to UNLV), FAFSA pell grant eligibility, residency status, references, and an essay demonstrating a challenge they have overcome. I have attached the current flyer to this email, and I can happily answer any questions you may have regarding the program. Program applications will be accepted until April 24th, 2017.
It is a wonderful opportunity for incoming students to UNLV, and we hope you will pass this information onto eligible students. This scholarship program was created so all students can have a meaningful, educational opportunity to pursue their undergraduate degree, and we hope to continue to help more students on their individual journeys to graduation from UNLV.
