Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Eligibility: High School senior who is a citizen of the United States. Applicants need not be related to

Eligibility: Be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico) or graduating from grade 12
(Canada) or graduating from a home school education. Have a cumulative high school
grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. Plan to enroll full-time,
without interruption, for the entire 2015-16 academic year at an accredited two-or four-year
college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S. , Puerto Rico, or Canada.

Emergency Educational Grants

Amount: Renewable one year grants of up to $4000
Eligibility: This grant provides college financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks. Applicant needs to attend an accredited U.S. college or university as a full-time (12) semester hours) student. JANUARY
Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
Sponsor: GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
Amount: Each year the program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship
renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient.
Eligibility: Have a minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent. Demonstrate
at school , the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership,
drive, integrity, and citizenship. Be citizens of the United States and demonstrate

Eligibility: African American, American Indian-Alaskan Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American, high school senior, GED recipient, or high school graduate entering an accredited college for the first as full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student. Eligibility: Participating in a Michael & Susan Foundation approved college readiness program

earning a 2.47 GPA, demonstrate financial need, eligible to receive a Pell Grant in
the first year of college and planning to enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program
at an accredited higher education institution in the fall directly after graduation from

Truman D. Picard Scholarship

Eligibility: Native American/Alaskan graduating senior high school students pursuing a

Union Plus Scholarship
Sponsor: Union Plus Foundation
Amount: $500 to $4,000, this one-time cash awards are for study beginning fall of 2015. Students may
re-apply each year.
Eligibility: Current and retired members of unions participating in any Union Plus program, their spouses, and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations). At least one year membership must be satisfied by May 31, 2015. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is recommended. Required essays can account for up to half your total score. Neal Lyon High School Prevention Scholarship
Sponsor: LARS Research Institute, Inc.
Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: LARS is presenting the Neal Lyon High School Drug Prevention Scholarship to graduating
seniors in 2014-15 academic years and who are enrolled in a public or private high school,
high school equivalency program or home school programs recognized by the local school
system and sanctioned by the State of Nevada. The $1,000 Scholarship is awarded to the
“Best” essay examining the need for drug abuse prevention in the schools. The essay should
be no less than 1,000 and no more than 1,500 words. The essay should examine the need
