Things Every Short Person Should Know

(A math workshop for K-3 students)

This math workshop will be jam packed with activities designed to strengthen important math precepts and some skills you may have heard of, but don’t exactly know how to explain. Included will be: fact families, (why things that make ten matter), adding with trading (regrouping), defining “counting on”, fundamentals of multiplication (also the division connection), and adding 9 without counting (the use of the ten frame).

Requested supplies: Please bring a bottle of colored nail polish.

OPTIONAL: a bag of 50 small objects of the same type IF it is not a problem to gather them (ideas: buttons, paperclips, pennies)
