Odyssey Charter Schools is fully accredited as a distance education program by AdvancedED, the recognized regional accreditation agency for post-secondary institutions in Nevada.
First issued in 2003 and renewed in 2008 and 2014, the accreditation extends across the breadth of our K-12 program.
Regional Accreditation Granted
Odyssey Charter Schools was first accredited with the Association in 2003. Odyssey Charter Schools is one of the 1900 in the region and one of over 40,000 schools nationwide to maintain regional accreditation.
By being accredited, Odyssey Charter School is guaranteed that other schools will recognize their students’ credits transcripts and diplomas.
Accredited schools are members of one of the nation’s six regional accrediting associations. Being accredited implies that the school subscribes to a process of voluntary self-regulation that is a constructive experience designated to improve the quality of the member school.
Accreditation of a school is on a school-wide basis. It should be noted that the whole school, not just one program, is covered by the accreditation. The process is concerned with the inherent characteristics of each school rather than comparisons with other schools.
