Seniors and early grad juniors, the counseling staff encourages you to sign up either for the ACT and/or SAT this fall and winter. Many universities including UNLV and UNR require completing either test for admissions. UNLV and UNR will waive their GPA requirement of a 3.0 in your core GPA if you receive a 22 ACT composite score or a 1040 SAT (combination of the critical reasoning and Math sections only) score. Also with the revisions in the Millennium Scholarship requirements, a student no longer needs a 3.25 weighted or non-weighted GPA in order to qualify for the scholarship. A student may waive the GPA requirement and only the GPA requirement for the Millennium Scholarship if they acquire either a 21 composite score on the ACT or 990 on the SAT (combination of the critical reasoning and Math sections only).
