Who May Apply:
Graduating seniors in attendance at a Nevada High School, who have completed at least two years at Von Tobel Middle School. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of a least 2.0, and prior to funding must provide proof of high school graduation with minimum 2.0 GPA and enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university or trade school).
Award:
One recipient will be awarded the George Von Tobel College Aid Scholarship. Award amount will be based on GPA guidelines below. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. Although full-time enrollment is not required scholarship funds must be used in the first year of post-secondary education, and will be paid directly to the institution per semester. Students on academic probation or who have not utilized the entire award in the first year will forfeit any remaining funds.
GPA Award Guidelines:
- 2.0 – 2.9 $1,000
- 3.0 – 3.9 $2,ooo
- 4.0 and above $3,000
Deadline:
Applications must be received in the Foundation office or postmarked by April 1, 2014. Absolutely no late applications will be accepted.

- Application cover sheet
- Essay – Explain your career goals. The typed essay should be 1-2 pages long.
- Resume
- Two letters of Recommendation
- High School Transcripts
Application Instructions:
Please complete all sections of the attached application and mail two (2) copies of your application to the address below. Do not fold or staple your application.
Your scholarship application will NOT be presented to the donor if you do not have all of the required documents in the order as listed above.
Unofficial-unsealed transcripts are acceptable with appropriate signatures.

Do not use folders, report covers, etc, to submit your application. Applications must be printed on standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper.
