The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. International Highs School Essay Contest

  • Sponsor:    Beta Mu Mu Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
  • Amount:    3 – up to $3,000.00
  • Eligibility:  CCSD High School seniors that is college-bound. The Essay must be entitled: “What Do You View as the Critical Skills Needed to be Successful in College and Beyond?” Must be original neither previously published nor secured by copyright. The essay must be between 700-750 words; three type-written, double-spaced copies must be submitted. Please submit transcripts, test scores, resume, and letters of recommendation. See counselor for rules and application. The manuscript must be postmarked NOT later than midnight, October 25, 2013 and mailed to Beta Mu Mu Chapter, P.O.   • Eligibility:  Senior must be nominated by the Counselor/School. Have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher, strong commitment to community service and have leadership abilities through activities or work experience. Student must plan to attend an accredited nonprofit college, university, or vocational/technical school in the United States. Student going through or has overcome a personal challenge or, tragedy. Alpha Delta Kappa Education Scholarship

  • Eligibility:  Female CCSD High School seniors from who plan to major in Education. Please submit one-page essay on “Why I want to become a Teacher”, transcripts, test scores, GPA, CCSD Scholarship Application, and letters of recommendations.

Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club Academic Scholarship

  • Sponsor:    The Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club
  • Amount:    $9,600.00 ($1,200 per semester)
  • Eligibility:  Graduate Senior from an accredited high school in Clark County, Nevada, with a minimum weighted or non-weighted 3.5 GPA. Intends to attend a public college or university in Nevada, i.e., UNLV, UNR, Nevada State College or other public college in Nevada. Renewable for up to 8 semesters of college if maintaining a 3.0 GPA and completes a minimum of 12 semester hours per semester. Must demonstrate a family or student financial need.
